Trailer tuesday

Since It is tuesday, I figured why not do a trailer tuesday on book inspired movies....

I am so pumped to watch Divergent come to life. It had so many action scenes in the book, I am curious as how are they going to make it come to life.

The girl playing Tris wasn't exactly who I pictured to play her character, but the actress isn't bad. I can see how she was chosen to play Tris. The guy playing Tobias is really goodlooking. I can't wait to watch him play his role as  Tobias XD.
TEAM DAUNTLESS ALL THE WAYYY! WOOTWOOT!!!!

I am also pleased to say that catching fire is coming out soon to theaters.
Since Divergent and Catching fire are both dystopian, I am sure that there will be a fierce battle between the two. This fact makes me even more excited because it just means that both movies will work hard into making their films much better because of competition.
Catching fire is my favorite book in the whole Hunger games series. It had the most action and It kept me at the edge of my seat. I am looking forward as to how the movie will turn out.
I have VERY HIGH expectations.
I can't wait to watch it >.<

A million suns book review

Book Summary: (Taken from Good reads)
Godspeed was once fueled by lies. Now it is ruled by chaos.

It’s been three months since Amy was unplugged. The life she always knew is over. Everywhere she looks, she sees the walls of the spaceshipGodspeed.

But there may be hope: Elder has assumed leadership of the ship. He's finally free to act on his vision—no more Phydus, no more lies.

But when Elder learns shocking news about the ship, he and Amy race to discover the truth behind life on Godspeed. They must work together to unlock a mystery that was set in motion hundreds of years earlier. Their success—or failure—will determine the fate of the 2,298 passengers aboard Godspeed. But with each step, the journey becomes more perilous, the ship more chaotic, and the love between them more impossible to fight.

Beth Revis catapulted readers into the far reaches of space with her New York Times bestselling debut, Across the Universe. In A Million Suns, Beth deepens the mystery with action, suspense, romance, and deep philosophical questions. And this time it all builds to one mind-bending conclusion: They have to get off this ship.

Review:

I remember as I finished reading the last page of Across the Universe and thinking to myself "wow I love this book..that was amazing..I definitely don't regret trying something new." Truth be told, sci-fi types of novels doesn't really peak my interest that much but, I gave this series a shot because it seemed so interesting and I was extremely curious because of the hype it was getting. I am glad I gave this series a shot.  To be perfectly honest, while I was  in love with the first book, I thought that there is no way that the second book would be able to compare to the first book and that the first book was enough as a stand alone. There was no need for a sequal and there's nothing else to explore in the story. Oh boy, was I frexing wrong,

This book was full of mystery, secrets, and plot  twist that I never anticipated would exist. It was very unpredictable and I love it. There would be nights where I would stay up just to figure out what was going to happen. I really didn't want to stop reading it, but sometimes I just had to, and there would be moments where I would catch myself looking forward to reading the book.

Character wise, I felt a deep connection between Elder and Amy. I felt not only  the struggles they had to face as they race trying to figure out the answers to the many questions Godspeed keeps, but also the struggle between themselves, and their relationship. I was able to sympathize with their situations and rejoice as they solve pieces of the puzzle. Their character was definitely written well. It was very realistic. I also saw some things in myself within them and It made me love the book even better.

Beth Revis' writing was incredible. She kept me on the edge of my seat wanting some more. The book starts off with a bang and then as every chapter continues switching from Amy to Elder, it kept on getting better and better making you thirst for the answers, making you want to delve deeper in her ocean of intense sea of wonder. She controlled my emotions making me feel like I was a part of the story. I felt like I was in the ship, a part of Godspeed's society. I cared for every character in the ship. The way she wrote it made me feel a connection to the book. She made me feel like I was in a whole new world and I loved it.
I am definitely looking forward on delving myself once more in the next book to come after this and more books to come by Beth Revis.
